What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness as a Psychological therapy evolved from the use of meditation in a number of Eastern Religions, after the observation of peace and tranquility amongst those who used meditation on a regular basis. While meditation is used in many religions, Mindfulness as a therapy is not religious based, and does not require religious belief to be effective.
The key goal of Mindfulness therapy is to attain peace by focussing on the present moment. This may sound simple, however it can often take considerable practice and patience to master this skill.
Fortunately, many of the benefits of Mindfulness therapy can be achieved well before this, simply by practicing and noticing what is happening at any given moment.
All of the therapists in the clinic are highly skilled in the use of Mindfulness Therapy.
